2 جیمزگاردنرمارچ متولد 1928 کلیولند ا هایو استاد دانشگاه جک استیل پارکر دانشگاه استنفورد است که از اساتید شناخته شده ریسکپذیری تصمیمگیری یادگیری و رهبری سازمانها است. مارچ بیشتر عمرش را در دانشگاه استنفورد گذراند در مجله کسبوکار به عنوان دانشمند توصیف شده است که مسیر شغلی و کاری وی در رشتههای گوناگونی چون رهبری تصمیمگیری روانشناسی سازمانی مدلهای علوم اجتماعی شبیهسازی کامپیوتری اقتصاد رفتاری سپری شده است همچنین چندین کتاب شعر و فیلمنامه نیز از جمله آثار وی است عالقه وی به زبان موجب طرح استعارههایی چون تئوری سطلزباله)تئوری آشفته( در سازمان شده است از اساتیدی که در پژوهشهای مرتبط با تصمیمگیری و تئوری عقالنیت محدود همراه وی بودند میتوان هربرت سایمون و ریچارد سایرت را نام برد و همراهی با اساتیدی چون رابرت داهل و کی چارلز لیندبلوم جرج پیتر و فرد استرودبک جامعه شناس موجب عالقمندی وی به علوم سیاسی شد. 2
